Chef Zee Zheng Yunze is a Chinese chef and co-founder of fabula, a modern culinary project launched in 2025. Born in Xiangshan, Ningbo, he trained at the Culinary Institute of America, where he graduated with honors in Culinary Science. He built his professional experience in several Michelin-starred New York restaurants, including Dovetail, The Modern, and Le Bernardin. After returning to China in 2022, he worked as Sous Chef at Taian Table in Shanghai, a three-Michelin-star restaurant. His cooking style reflects a balance of precise Western technique and Chinese coastal flavors, which he continues to develop through fabula, a concept focused on blending East China Sea ingredients with contemporary European fine dining.
